Oliver Hartwich on ACT's new employment insurance scheme

The ACT party has announced its new employment insurance policy that allows a taxpayer to claim 55% of their average weekly earnings if they lost their job.
Oliver Hartwich talks to Kerre McIvor on Newstalk ZB about this scheme. He says that in challenging times, policies where workplaces can quickly upscale again, are preferable to employment insurance.
Instead, New Zealand could consider the successful short-time work allowance schemes that Europe adopted during the GFC.
